Eggnog

You are in for a treat (see what I did there) because Mel is a guest writer for this post! Matt mentioned to me that there is one ice cream that he makes this time of the year and that flavor is eggnog! I’ve honestly never tried eggnog but this ice cream that he made, makes me want to try some this holiday season! I jokingly told Matt when I tried it that I only gave it 4.5 stars because I rarely say that anything is perfect, but I really did think it was perfect! Blue Bell released an eggnog ice cream a couple of months ago. While I have not tried it, I know it will not be as good as Matt’s when I do a taste test at some point soon!

He made a chocolate sauce and whipped cream to top it with. The toppings enhanced the flavor of the complete bite and the combination of everything was delicious! I did eat a couple of bites without the toppings and loved just the eggnog ice cream on its own as well! I found out that he freshly ground the nutmeg that goes into the mix, which I know boosted the flavor to the level that it is. I am always impressed with Matt and how he doesn’t take shortcuts when he makes things in the kitchen. It always pays off and makes a flavorful outcome like this eggnog ice cream!
